Sebastián Bolivar y Cynthia Palacios
Cynthia Palacios and Sebastián Bolívar: Dancers from Patagonia, Argentina, began their early dance experiences at a young age—Cynthia with ballet and flamenco, and Sebastián with tango and Argentine folklore. Their paths in tango started separately until they decided to join forces in 2019. They are a couple who won the World Tango Pista Championship title in 2022, an achievement that reflects both their technical skill and their deep emotional connection to this iconic Argentine dance.
Together, they create their tango by deeply respecting its roots while incorporating modern and original elements into their choreography. This blend of classic and contemporary allows them to keep the tango vibrant.
In their international tours, they have taught classes and served as judges in competitions. Through their workshops, demonstrations, and collaborations, they contribute to the growth and dissemination of tango worldwide, having worked at major events in South America, Asia, Oceania, and Europe.
